A year ago, I had a brake job- new calipers all around, but no new master cylinder. Several months ago, when the drivers front wheel dragged very badly(very hot, the wagon even pulling to right when braking because of fading) I replaced the caliper.

Changing the winter tires quite recently, I noticed that it was hard to turn the left front hub by hand. I could do it, but I expected much less resistance.

I think maybe the Master cylinder seals are bad? No idea when last replaced. Eeroparts has replacement Master Cylinders for $100.

I was thinking that I should check the rotor temperatures first with an infared gauge, to see if they are elevated, or vary from one side to the other. Does any one do this to diagnose- and what is a normal temp for a rotor after some normal braking?

Collapsed brake line hoses...hmmm. I was able to bleed the replaced caliper successfully, and thought that was an indicator of an ok hose- the short ones coming out the wheel well and going to the back of the caliper. There are two per front caliper on this car.
