Heater/window washer outage 700 1989

Nasty weather today and the combination of high fan on the heater blower and repeated use of the window washer has resulted in both failing on my 89 765 (212k). First of all, are they that closely related? I don't have a wiring chart or fuse chart to hand but a quick look in the fuse box showed nothing obviously burnt out. I can live without the window washer, but i'm going to need that heater for a few weeks yet.
