1968 vs. 1968 Window Seals 120-130

A little more searching has netted me the proper window channel run set at Swedish Treasures Kit #500 for a two door up to early 1969. It is pretty reasonable at about $90.00 for the kit.

I've also noticed the 1969+ kit Kit 501. The later kit seems to be all rubber/felt and runs about $20.00 less.

Past experience tells me that VIP (Olof) and ST have nearly the same stuff at nearly identical prices and both care significantly about quality and sales.
I've bought successfully from both so I don't think I'll find anything different or at a better price with good service and quality.

My question is if the later style seals are better/more durable than the early types, if they are backwards-compatible, and if the loss of the teenie chrome edges on the windows is really noticeable.

This is a 1968 130 with an upgraded 69-70-style brake booster and MC. I think I can make a case for going with the later trim style...

Any thoughts?
