valve noise 200 1989

Hi there,

Ordinarily I'd say what sounds like lifter noise can be rather subjective ranging from worn out hushers (i.e. over 6 months old) to piston slap (normal) but if you have to turn the radio up to drown it out you'd better have a look at the cam, and at the very least measure the clearances. You don't know how the PO treated it I assume. Are you familiar with the sound of other examples of B230F K-block motors for comparison's sake?
