164 Choke Cable 140-160 1969

I've installed the carbs I got Jim Taylor to refurb for me. They look pretty good.
In the process of hooking up the "choke" I noticed considerable "lost motion"; in fact almost no motion at all!
Seems like my 40-year-old choke cable is becoming schizophrenic in that the wire end has a different
personality than the handle on the dash.

Therefore, does anyone have one of these cables lying around that they would like to turn into a few dollars?
I'm not sure that an early 140 choke cable will be long enough because it works on the front carb only.
If I can I will pull it out tomorrow and post the length.
Any assistance most gratefully appreciated!
