Adjusting fuel pressure - the bakeolite spacer method 120-130

Hello,

I have never heard of this procedure.

What exact fuel pump are you using?

I will only install the Pierburg mechanical fuel pump that Volvo sells as a new replacement pump with SUs. I will also use an original AC Delco glass bowl pump or 1 of the earlier styles of Pierburg fuel pumps.

I have seen several other manufacturers of mechanical fuel pump that had cheap fuel pump check valves and 1 had almost 7psi of pressure and that is way too high.

The only decent low pressure fuel pressure regulator is a Holley brand if you have an electric pump or an overpressizing mechanical pump.

BTW, All of the mechanical fuel pumps REQUIRE the spacer and 2 gaskets!!
