Rear Diff Gearing 1800

Hello Everyone,

I'm working on a 1966 Volvo 1800S. This car has a B18 and an M41. This car just doesn't have tall enough gearing to cruise comfortably at 70mph on the freeway. According to the tach, which is probably off and perhaps wildly, at 70 with the overdrive engaged I'm at about 4500-5000rpm. Is there some way to find out the diff gearing, either on the unit or by rotating the wheels? Is it possible to change the gears, and not the diff to get a more comfortable final drive ratio? Any suggestion on doing this or where I can find the gears?

Thanks,
Colin
