Sorry to dash your hopes, but there isn't much use in replacing the printed circuit unless you know it is cracked. Electrical stuff isn't so easily diagnosed by what "looks good or bad" to someone either. Just telling you what commonly fails and suggesting replacement is just setting you up for disappointment.
My advice is to stop in the Wal-Mart and get yourself a simple test light. Instead of adding it to your tool kit at home, keep it in the glove box. Not a digital multimeter, just a 12 volt test light sold where the fuses and lamps hang in the auto area. A test light makes electricity "visible", and will allow you to trace the defect in your circuit to the very point of failure. Then you can make an informed decision about what needs replacing, what needs cleaning, and why. The why is important if you want to keep it from recurring.
