diagram source and a question 200 1981

Howdy Bruce,

I got that Green Book over at k-jet.org. It is listed there as TP30808-1_wiring_diagrams_1985_PRELIM.pdf

Notice the PRELIM part of that file name.

The page I posted is what all the other markets got. The next page is the Rear Fog light circuit for the USA; F14 powered by the low beam circuit.

Another circuit in that book has me baffled: What is a Hot Spot circuit? It mounts a PTC and a thermal switch to the underside of the intake manifold. Together, they actuate a solenoid. From the drawing, I gather this circuit is used only on a left hand drive, carburetted car.

My guess is that it is a cold air mixer to control manifold heat. But that is purely speculation; I have never heard the term "Hot Spot".
