My "New' Car 444-544

Hi Folks - I have been lurking here for about a month, but I thought I should introduce myself. I just bought a '59 544 that I found hidden in a shed in Henderson, NC.

Here's a post on my website about getting the car: http://abeach.info/?p=119

and here's the photos I have taken so far on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andybeach/sets/72157612636862493/

My intentions right now are to just get the car running, hopefully with this engine. After that, I'll start considering what else to do to the car. I'm not looking to turn this into some type of hot rod, just a nice daily driving car (well, a nice paint job wouldn't hurt).

I'm very excited to get started on this project and look forward to sharing updates along the way. I'm also quite sure I'll be posting plenty of dumb questions looking for help along the way!

p.s. - anybody in driving distance of Durham, NC is welcome to drop in and check it out.
