Change out the radiator? 200

I own a 1992 245 with approximately 150,000 miles. The radiator is the original. I'm wondering if I should
change it out as may son will be making some 600 mile trips up north in the next month or two. On the one
hand, I believe somthing shouldn't be replaced until it's broken but I had a voltage regulator fail at night in the
middle of nowhere (12 degrees) with my wife and kidsand know how traumatic something like that can be. The radiator
has plastic parts and I wonder how much longer it can last. Can a radiator shop look it over and accurately give me an idea of it's condition and how much longer it may last?

Thanks in advance!
