Urethane Bushes: I need a Definitive Answer - SuperPro, IPD, or ???? 200 1991

Folks,

I have a wobbly 1990 245 DL (li'l red) wagon and a 1992 240 GL. They both need the usual suspensions rebuilds, stem to stern.

It seems SuperPro, the bushes sold by FCPGroton, now include outer and inner shells. In the past, the old bushing shells were re-used. Some have realized or unfortunately experienced premature wear of the urethane bushes as the interior side of a rubber bushing outer shell is not a mirror-smooth surface in which the urethane bush pivots.

Remember, urethane bushes pivot and rotate inside the housing like a joint as the suspension articulates.

The IPD urethane bushes include the shells (inner and outers) as well as lubricant. You can use the heaviest, stickiest marine greases to lubricate urethane bushes for a long time. Also, IPD includes the panhard (trackbar) bushes. SuperPro does not, or at least as sold by FCPGroton.

I know most have used one brand or another. If you have used both, please indicate.

Also, FCPGroton does not post images of the SuperPro bushing set. Neither does SuperPro or any other SuperPro vendor Web site.
