driveshaft bolts at tailshaft flange stuck 200 1990

My support bearing & tailshaft bushing appear to be shot (and also sound/vibrate like they are toast). Over the weekend I managed to remove all bolts connecting the rear of the driveshaft to the rear axle, but couldn't get the front bolts/nuts to budge (connecting to the tailshaft flange of the tranny). I was using my handy cordless torque gun that apparently has 3000 ft/lbs torque, along with a ton of PB Blaster. I didn't use heat due to safety concerns (dripping tranny, tons of oily undercoating, etc). Has anyone else had this issue? I'm wondering if they have a trick for this before I have to pay my mechanic to do the job (ugh). Should those bolts spin or are they spot welded to the shaft flange? Reason I ask is that I could only get the torque gun on the bolt side, not the nut side. Figured I could loosen then use a wrench on the nut, but no luck.

Thanks,
Clayton
