Exhaust Clamps and Rust on Pipes

The clamps themselves will certainly rust from the outside, and as I recall, those 79-cent jobs (the kind you could buy two of each if you forgot which size you needed) came in regular, and heavy duty ready-to-rust steel. The regular used 5/16 hardware, the HD used 3/8. Both would mangle the joint so acidic combustion product water would have full access. I love those euro clamps.
