car died, blown fuel pump fuse, clicking when turning on lights 200 1991

My wife's 91 240 died today while driving on the freeway. She pulled over and
the car started up and she was able to make it to where I was. I checked the fuel pump fuse and it was singed at the connection. I replaced the fuse and the car started up fine and drove home fine but I now notice a loud clicking when I turn the lights on and off. I feel the clicking through the shifter. It feels different from when I push the o.d. button.

I should also mention that my wife left the lights in the on position this morning after doing errands and needed a jump to start the car. I tried to get some more details on that issue but her memory was foggy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I did have an issue a couple of years ago where the car would randomly stall and lose power and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay.
