Blinker trouble on 122S 120-130 1964

Hello all - Someone pulled out some wires from our Volvo, in what I believe was a half-assed attempt to hot-wire the car. The end result was that I have a loose piece (it looks somewhat like the female end of a plug, with one yellow and one red wire attached) and blinkers that do not work. I am assuming that these two things are connected. Either I am not reading the electrical diagram in Chilton's correctly or there is something else missing. I have a photo of the piece that is loose, but don't know how to upload it. If anyone has any thoughts as to what piece this might be and either how to put it back or where to get a new one I'd love to hear of it.
Thanks,
Ammon
