DO NOT USE MOBIL 1 OIL FILTER ! 200

I did an oil change a while back, and realized that I was out of Mann and Mahle filters. I trotted down to the local parts house, and was going to get a Bosch filter, but saw the Mobil 1 brand filter. They make a great oil, so I thought, Why not?

To be brief, the filter has no residual valve, and the filter media is crap. I called their tech line, and the person on the phone assured me that their filter had the check valve. The oil light stayed on for about 4 seconds after start-up, and the oil pressure gauge mirrored that.

I changed the oil again yesterday (only had 1000 miles on the oil), and installed a new Mann filter, and Mobil 1 oil. Just for S**ts abd giggles, I cut the old Mobil 1 filter apart. The media is crappy, and there is no sign of a residual valve in the filter.

DO NOT BUY THIS FILTER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
