In-tank fuel pump- not comin'out, now what? 700 1985

G'day,

Snapped the connector to the in-tank fuel pump off. NO pump, no gage now.

Pump is not going to come out, studs/nuts rusted.

Tank is not going to come out either, rusted fasteners.

Any ideas as to how to reconnect?

I say just carry a can of gas and drive it.

I would suspect once it gets down a bit (3/4 tank?) car won't run so hot. 'tis true, eh?

TIA
