Side pipe on a 240? 200

I was thinking of cutting the entire rear section of exhaust out of the system.
Trim the factory pipe directly behind the Cat - re-insert the fron muffler and use the "L" tail pipe to direct it just in front of the Passenger rear tire.

Some older folks have told me this can destroy a tire but that was more than likely cuz a supped up large V8 was pushing that hot exhaust over the tire's edge.

Just a thought...
Tim

Oh, and for that large cavity "parachute" where the rear muffler went would be filled with all the scrap pieces of plate aluminum...
