89 760 turbo sedan odometer problems 700

It is working off and on, some times the hand is jumping up when I have my foot on the gas pedal??? sometimes isn't working at all, and sometimes works just perfect. I did the sensor test- measured ac voltage(3-5V at 20-30 mph) and when car in motion and odometer wasn't working, checked connection behind instrument panel, now my final diagnosis will be a cold solder joint in the instrument panel.
I also noticed it is influenced by the weather- on a warm day, when the car has been under the sun for few hours- it works perfect, cold days- not present, may be after 20 min driving will start working.
Any ideas or tips?
