4th Gear Switch Install

Hello,

Before you drill you shift cover, what car did your M41 come from?

Some M41s did not come with the correct shift rail to operate the type of switch you need for the 122 shift cover.

Can you supply a picture of the M41 transmission with the shift cover off?

I will be able to see if the switch you want to use will work.

On most 140 and 1800E/ES with "J" type overdrives, the overdrive lockout switch is operated directly by the shift cover shifter rail.

For the lockout switch to work correctly with your 122 shift cover, the switch is operated by the 4th gear shift rail in the transmission.
