Head Bolts are Out. How do I separate the head from the block? B6304S Engine. 960/S90. 1998. S90-V90 1998

Hi all: This is a follow up posting with a new question.

I have the engine torn down. I have removed all 14 bolts attaching the head to the block.

I’m look for suggestions on how to lift the head off of the block now that I have the head bolts out.

Obviously the head gasket is holding the 2 parts together like glue.

1. Do just keep yanking up on the head?

2. Do I bang on it with a rubber mallet?

3. I was thinking of re-attaching one of the exhaust manifolds to get a better grip to pull up on it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks … Mr. Tool
