Shipping a rear end - suggestions? 120-130

Someone on the board was willing to ship a rear end to me. Problem is, he's in Colorado and I'm in Connecticut.

I've never shipped something so large and am looking for suggestions on the way to do it. I looked into UPS Freight and it appears that it may run up to $400 to ship from CO to CT. My guess is that the rear + packaging would likely run around 100 - 125 pounds or so.

Anyone know if there is a more economical way to get it across the country?
