"New' car - size of spare rim? 700 1989

Harry,

I had several 700 wagons, and for some reason I never understood, they used a full size spare, but designated as a spare only. I don't know why Volvo didn't just use a real tire and wheel since they weren’t saving any space anyway.

When I junked one of my 740s I put all the spare tires on the junker and put the full size real tires in the remaining car's spare compartments.

I have one slightly bent real wheel and tire that is good enough for a spare if you want it, but you would have to be near Louisville, KY for it to do you any good.

I can't remember the bolt circle diameter, but I think you can find it on the Tire Rack website. I think it is either 108 or 112 mm.

Charley
