Idle problems AMM problems? 700 1991

"In car sensor was reading 10K ohms when Volvo manual says 5 K ohms I forget the temp.
Brand new sensor was identical to the one in car.
Spare used sensor read as per manual 5 K ohms."

Pardon me for jumping in, but I'm questioning those resistance values. My 93 greenbook scaling graph shows a nominal 2200± at 68°F, which is backed up by the Pocket Data book's 2280-2720 at 68°.

Are you possibly on the temp gauge sensor by mistake?

Your LH2.4/EZK sensor has TWO individual elements, one each for FI and Ign.
So the meter has to read between 1 terminal to ground (sensor body) at a time. If you read between terminals 1 and 2, you'll get both elements in series — i.e., around 4500± at 68°. although that's not a specified procedure or value.
