wheel offset for 145 140-160

That sounds right.
I had to get a metric tape measure, and 2 16" sticks to figure it out.

The 700 15x6 wheels work out pretty well but have 15mm positive scrub radius.
40mm 140 offest minus 25mm 700 offset=15mm positive scrub,and 30mm increased track.
Same as putting the 75 164 wheels on they will indeed mount further out.
The 75 164 had a 240 axle,and swing arm set up,and used the early 200 offset of 25mm.

Basically 140's use early FWD offset at @40 mm.

Remember offset is simply the difference between the centerline of the wheel and the mounting surface.
Backspace is an old school measurement that helps to determine if the wheel will contact the suspension.
