Ideas for dealing with rust around rear windows on wagon 200

The two rear windows on my 245 have rust collecting at each bottom corner, front and back, inside and out, which is serving some notable leakage between the main steel shell of the car and its interior wall. I know that basically it's a lost cause to prevent the rust from increasing without some massive steel body work involving welding and a bunch of crap i'll never ever do, but I'd like to at least be able to halt the leaking. I was thinking that some special silicone sealant might do the trick, and am wondering if anyone here has dealt with this same problem before, what types of sealant you used, what success you had, etc.
THANK YOU!
