740 with intermittent bad spark/no start 700

Hey,

My 1990 740 with Regina FI is once again having problems with intermittent no-starting.

Some days it starts on the first turn.

Other days, it will crank and crank for ten minutes and when it FINALLY catches it acts like it's running on 2 cylinders for about 2 minutes, then suddenly catches and runs fine.

It does seem to be temperature related. Happens on cold days.

It's not gas. I can smell it, hear the fuel pump, plugs are wet, and yesterday I had my son crank it while I shot ether in the intake. No change.

In the last year, I have replaced:

Coil and unit beneath coil whatever it's called
Dist cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs
Added more grounds
coolant temperature sensor
amm
most/all of the relays in the dash
all the fuses

Non spark related: fuel pressure regulator, hoses, flame trap, cleaned idle stabilizer, rebuilt injectors, various vacuum hoses, O2 sensor, cat convertor.

Not showing any faults in the computer.

When the thing doesn't have trouble starting, it starts on the first turn and runs great.

I'm thinking there's a bad relay or wire somewhere. Could it be the radio suppression relay? The rpm sensor on the bell housing? Other?

Suggestions MOST welcome. I haven't been driving the car because I don't want to get stranded, and it's a drag.

thanks

Thaddeus
