Battery light staying on all the time 120-130 1967

on, bright....and up to a week ago, it was out all the time. I just pulled the top fuse....contact is good bcs the fuel guage drops to zero and the light goes out. when i put the fuse back in, fuel guage pops back up and light comes back on....hmmmm.....
