Is there room for the shifter??? 120-130 2006

I made an interesting observation regarding space for the gas pedal.
I installed the pedal cluster pulled from an 1800 and noticed that the foot pads are centered on the swing arm. Then looking at my '65 Amazon, which has the original 122 pedals, the foot pads are attached to the left side of the arm. This gives about 1-1/4 inch more space for the gas pedal.
I'm still going to carve out some of the transmission tunnel, but I will also swap the pedal clusters to gain the extra space.
