you are probably better of with an all in one alternator( less wires under the hood simpler trouble shooting) it charges or it alone does not charge.there are many options.i used a 240 Volvo alternator on my 220 with some mods a toyota on my triumph because of its size and a chevy on my mgb v8 because it was cheap. go with what works best for your application don't compromise space or simplicity.
