I need some help with my 240DL PLEASE!!!!! 200 1984

I bought a 84 240DL deisel the other day, i drove it home which was about 65 miles (in the rain non the less) and it ran fine the whole time, when i got home i cut the motor off and then a few minutes later tryed to re-start and it just cranked and cranked and cranked....
i tinkered with it a bit and fixed a vacuum leak i found, taped up a few exposed wires, replaced the fuel filter then i cracked the lines at the injectors and cranked until i saw fuel, then i tightened them up again and it started somewhat easy. i ran the car for about an hour with no problem and then cut it off.
a few hours later i drove it on a 30ish mile round trip with no problems. i parked it and about an hour later drove it to the car wash (about a mile away) and shut it off to vacuum the inside out, and now it won't start and its sitting in a seedy parking lot..

please help, any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
