Crank shaft pulley position 900 1991

I noticed that the tool is off the mark and cannot be tightned as it is made to be tightened at the idler bolt. I had to rotate the pulley backward to make the tool to reach idler bolt.

It's not unusual to have to "fudge" a bit to get the tool on the idler(?) stud. But how far "off the mark" is it? If more than, say, 1/8", the outer part of the Harmonic Balancer pulley may be starting to slip on the thin rubber layer that bonds it to the keyed inner hub. Draw a line with Wite-Out or similar on the pulley face to see if the outer-inner relationship changes.

I've seen that reference as much as 60°-70° off, and it could mean trouble sooner or later.
See second paragraph here.
