Could spark plugs have been the source of all my problems? 700

The Volvo distributor cap holes have a pin in the bottom that fits into the hole in the end of the Bougicord wires. The crimped end plug wires fit into the holes snugly but they usually do not make any contact with the pins or any other metal in the base of the holes. This creates another gap that the spark voltage has to jump and weakens the spark at the plugs. This probably doesn't cause much of a problem with the n/a engine but causes alot of missfiring with the turbo engine when you jump on the boost.
