Intermittent sputter, died this morning and wouldn't restart... djet, of course. 140-160 1972

The fuel pressure thing sticks with me, Down to twenty PSI is hard to run engine, Yet other times you are dialed in at 28PSI. Souunds like your FPR is working OK.

Something is causing a blockage in the fuel line, dropping the pressure to 20. An intermitent blockage could be caused by the suction from the fuel pump causing the feed tube from tank to partially collapse. Replace old rubber feed tubing with appropriatel stiff proper diameter fuel hose.

Other causes are fuel filter blockage.

I have seen collapsed fuel feeding hoses cause these symptoms twice on D-jets.

Hope my advice applies.
