how easy to break the cat ceramic part? 200 1986

hello,
i replaced my tranny in my 86.

when i removed the header bolts the header fell about 3 ft, but the rest of the pipe was connected by the rear hangers. so the cat didn't hit the ground, but it hit hard.

now after everything is assembled, the car vibrates at about 2200 rpm, when at normal driving temp (hot).

drives fine for miles before warming up.

at first, i thought it might be tranny problems, but now, i think it might be the cat. the cat is 2 yrs old.

is the cat fragile, brittle? it might be broken a little and partially clogged? when i shake the cat, i hear some rattling like rust, but not much.

thanks
