Smoke on 93 Volvo 940 turbo 900 1993

When I first start the car it burns oil and produces large amounts of smoke rom the tail pipe. There is also smoke from the dipstick tube. There is no over-heating and when the car warms up the smoke stops. It drives fine but I am worried that something will happen. If you can tell me what's wrong i would greatly appreciate it.
