Okay, heres the deal. For those of you who aren't familiar with my plight I'll bring you up to date. I have an '82 D24 diesel to B23 gas engine conversion
that I've been working on for longer than I can remember. My issue is that I cannot get it to start. I did, however, had it running last fall although it
ran rough. I have let it sit inside my heated garage over the winter and recently started to work on it again since the weathers' warming up. I
appreciate all of the help that everyones' contributed especially Goatman and Jorrel. So heres what I've done thus far (this week) in an attempt to remedy
this situation. I pulled all of the spark plugs and checked spark to every one and that's good. I then reinstalled the timing belt to verify that and it's
good also. Then I checked to ensure that the distributor rotor was pointing at the #1 cylinders sparkplug wire when the #1 cylinder was at top dead center and
that checks good as well. As far as the fuel system goes It has a new Bosch main fuel pump and fuel filter as well as the fuel pressure regulator. I just
ordered the IPD high volume in-tank transfer pump kit as that's the original from the donor car and I have no idea of it's age so I'll be replacing that as
well. I did read Jorrels' post to my previous thread about the fuel and it smells like regular gasoline to me. But I was wondering what the best way is to
clean the injectors to ensure that they're clear? Other than that I don't know what else to do to get this car to run. Please let me know what yo all think.
