Violent Shaking Upon Initial Accelerating: M46 242

I received my 1982 242 from the PO with a small driveability problem. Beneath 2k revs or so, when you are accelerating from a stop or changing gears, the car shakes quite a bit. The shaking dissapears around 2k RPM and above. The PO thought the the problem was the tranny mount. I jacked up the car today and replaced the mount. It was a little squished but mostly intact. The shaking problem persisted.
