20W-50 weight oil--what's the deal? 200 1989

I have used nothing but Castrol GTX 20-50 in my '88 240DL since picking it up in November 1987. Fast forward to April, 2009 - 576,000 miles and still original.

Now, I live in southern California and my miles are mostly highway. For my money, I would not use any other oil for a "four banger" that works as hard as mine does.

Stormie - Three 240's, over 1,000,000 miles combined and nothin' newer than a '92.
