center drive shaft support boot 700 1992

A little shutter when taking off. On my last RWD, same thing and I packed the boot hollow with bungie chord and it really helped.

Now I want to try filling the boot hollow with some silcone exterior caulk?
Not completey but just the lower portion.

I was thinking this would bring back some stiffness to the boot and help stabilize the shaft.

Any thoughts - hope good ones because I already did it and drying now!
