AW 70 flex plate separation

Art, of course I was too lazy to pull the 03 url, but the pic looks similar. The flex plate on early LH 2.4 cars is the small loose plate seen in your pic, the large flat center plate, an outer ring plate (not the ring gear) welded to the center plate, and the ring gear. The outer ring plate may be the CPS perforated thing, I can't quite visualize it or recall the construction details right now. Four pieces, whereas the newer flex plates are three piece so that the big flat center plate and the ring plate (not ring gear) can't separate. If they separate you get a clatter like exhaust heat shield noise but worse. You also get a knock sensor code or an occasional CPS signal code. Mostly knock sensor.
