Hi folks,

I spent 3 hours poking and prodding this car in my typically slow methodical way. Here's what I found:

Upon starting, the engine shakes terribly. Owner said that pulling one of the plug wires helped (didn't tell me which one). So I assume a misfire in one cylinder.

Hard starting. FPR hose smells like gas. I pulled a plug (Autolite) and it was fouled and gassy.

Vacuum leaks galore in the intake.

Engine was kind of an oily mess, but that's from crankcase pressure issues, I'm sure.

The belts and alternator were removed by the owner because he suspected timing issues. He put the crank pulley back on wrong, and I think he sheared the sprocket pin. There's about one millimeter of the sprocket pin sticking up, and a pronounced dent in the backside of the crank pulley from the misalignment.

On to the good parts: great blue body, cloth interior, clean, 3rd row seat, only blemish is that the center console is missing. 5 speed, new clutch and rear main seal like 4k miles ago. New Goodyears on GT rims.

So? A good find for $450?

Thanks,

Ari
