A Couple of 245 Painting Questions 200

We're getting ready to paint an '88 245 and are uncertain as to what to do about the rear cargo area side glass outside trim and the tailgate window trim.

Is the outside trim removable on these two windows? It would make painting easier if the trim could be removed instead of having to tape the trim beforehand. I'm aware that the side glass can be removed, but if one does so, what are the pitfalls to watch out for? Does one reuse the seal?

Also, is there are secret to getting paint down into the cowl when a repaint is done? We are painting the car back to its original color after a really awful repaint job and this will include paintind down in the cowl.

Any tips?

Thanks.
