More float bowl problems 120-130 1966

So I've taken the floats apart and measured the gap with the floats turned upside down. I just finished putting it all back together to take the car for a test drive.

Car ran fine for about 30 seconds, and then started spraying gas (quite violently, I might add) from the little hole below where the fuel line connects to the front float bowl. Soaked everything in gas.

I tried a fuel pressure regulator and it made no difference, gas kept spraying all over the place.

I have no idea what would cause this. Anything I can do to solve it?
