ECT 200 1988

Art,
I haven't done my checks at the computer yet but want to past another thought by you. The head gasket was leaking for some time before it was replaced. The head was warped and required .025 shaving to even it out. I'm sure I've got a "high performance" engine now!

The car had starting issues before this work was completed but I do wonder if this compression increase may have changed the fuel/mixture equation at all. Or might there be other factors I have yet to consider regarding this change.

I'm running a hotter coil, a MSD Blaster, and Bosh Platinum plugs with increased gap (bigger flame less likely to flood?). Seems to help a bit. On initial starts, with the pedal fully depressed, the car readily starts. Gets a big breath of air. When restarting just a turn of the key is sufficient. Moody Bitch?
Regards,
Bill

I also enjoyed the Haynes interpretation
