Having a strange problem 700

Seems to run fine at idle and at hwy speed. Driving down the road, surface and/or hwy, and all of a sudden the engine just quits. No sputtering no warning it just quits. On the hwy sometimes if I press on the gas a couple of time it will start running again. On surface streets usally I have to pull over, put it in park and it will crank right back up and away we go. It started doing it every couple of weeks and now it does it almost every time on my comute to work about 40 min to an hour. Just a little back ground. It had a blown head gasket I fixed that. When the problem started I tuned it up and replaced the fuel filter. Most of the time it runs great. The speedo dosn't always work especially when it's wet.

Thanks ahead for the help
Barry
