I was about where you are on an 83, our first 240, when I first found this list. Searching for the right adapter for those funky metric flare fittings. None in the stores. Search engine (think it was Alta Vista back then) zeroed in on the brickboard forum, and two members pointed me to the junkyard as a source of the fittings I needed. Picked up a fuel rail, and converted it into my adapter with a touch of brazing.
The gauge itself is a blister pack item in most chain stores, for Schrader valves.
Otherwise you could follow the suggestions in the 7/9 FAQ here and assemble with compression fittings, or even look for the special Volvo fittings. Depends on your particular resources. Nothing ready-made at the Sears.
That 83 had a stuck fuel pressure regulator, and I know you've changed yours, but that is the way I would continue to troubleshoot. The only alternative I see is parts swapping, which is good enough for many. Just read this list. You'll see the hundreds of dollars spent on new parts (i.e. fuel pumps) in the name of "elimination process". I'd rather put my money into diagnostic tools, because this is mainly a hobby for me, not a living or an economics decision.
In the end, it may not be a fuel pressure problem. After all, the amount of fuel is the pressure times the injector time, but I'm not going to suggest you get a scope to noodle this out, even though that is exactly what I'd use if the pressure looked good (and no fuel was leaking past your new regulator's diaphragm). The LH2.2 computer has a solid reputation, so if it is getting good info from the temperature sensor, it just goes back to fuel pressure - whether defective regulator, clogged return line, leaky injector, whatever. You'll just be that much more confident if you have a gauge on it.
