Pulling out the dash 140-160 1971

From the back side of the dash panel there should be two white plastic "nuts" --they extend towards the front of the car and are long enough to grab with your fingers to unscrew them from the studs built into the back of the dash face. They are located, one on each end, diagonally opposed. Unscrew the speedo cable from the right side of the instrument panel and then push the panel into the dash so you can flip it to remove the wires working through the opening. Pulling it out is a little tricky as the opening is tight. You didn't say if your car has an auto tranny--if so, you must release the gear indicator cable from the shift linkage before you shift the panel's position.--Dave
