Road trip troubles.. oil pressure 120-130

So my brother (some of you may remember DanB).. was fixin' to leave on a ~3000 mile road trip this afternoon.. all loaded up and ready to go...

Oil light started coming on this morning at low RPM. Had his oil changed over the weekend... a non-Volvo filter, and they over filled it by about 3/4 quart. He knows his stuff.. knows it's not electrical. He can hear the quiet clatter when the light is on (not a knock.. just the usual 'audible oil level indicator clatter').

We've been trying to rationalize some way that a cheap filter (he replaced it today with no affect), or a slight over-fill could have caused anything... Doesn't seem to us like either of those could have caused this.

The engine is tight and has been a great runner since last summer...

Any thoughts? Any other day, no biggie.. timing this time sucks...
